In Windows XP/2000/2003, click the Start button, and then click Control Panel. ![]() ![]() In the Numbers tab type a new separator in the List separator box and click OK button to close both configuration dialog windows. ![]() In the Formats tab click Aditional Settings button. Open Clock, Language and Regional Options and click Change the date, time or number format. In Windows Vista/, click the Start button, and then click Control Panel. To change the CSV separator to comma or semicolon, close Excel and access the Control Panel in Windows. When Excel saves a spreadsheet to the CSV Format, it may use a comma (,) or a semicolon ( ) to separate the contents. ![]()
